This covers days 26 through 34...
HI!
Well it’s officially the last week of my stay here in New Zealand and I am already sad. I’ve had my last Saturday and Sunday that were two really awesome days. I went to the gym over here, and I love the environment. Taking the class was super fun and I was really able to push myself. I loved the sauna in the gym; it was relaxing after working hard. Saturday my host brother lost his game so his season is over, but I’ve watched their games since I’ve been here and I think they really have grown. Their tackling has improved tremendously; it was really nice to watch! On Sunday we went to watch the All Blacks play against the Wallabies it was the best thing ever! I really enjoyed the Haka, it was very unique and intimidating to the Wallabies. We also did this full stadium wave, which must have been the coolest experience I’ve ever had. Everyone in the stadium was like one, and all came together to watch this awesome game of rugby! It was really funny because there was this little section of the people from Australia, but we really did out number them in the fan votes! Of course the All Blacks won because they are amazing! The experience of watching that game, that New Zealand rugby atmosphere I will keep dear to my heart. Throughout the week I was just at school. We played ultimate Frisbee in physical education class, I really love that class here there is so much more you can do because of all the sporting facilities that are available for use. I really wish my school was like that. Talking about that rugby game again, I really hope that New York and America in general will be able to come together and enjoy rugby in the way that the people of New Zealand do. I’m really going to miss all of the amazing people I have met here. I’m actually tearing up writing this, saying goodbye is always a hard thing for me but I will make sure I have pictures with everyone for my memories of this amazing time. I will definitely try to come back here, maybe when the weather is better like during their summer time. I can’t believe I am leaving on Friday, there is so much to miss…
